It also takes a very long time for engine to get warmed up. Over a half of an hour. Will produce some heat, (Luke warm) and then will blow cold again. First, start by checking the level of coolant in the reservoir tank under the hood. If it is below the recommended level, you may leak or need to add more coolant. It would appear that your Left Mixed Air Flap Motor is NOT working or the flap is stuck in a position that directs some/much of the air that has been cooled by the Evaporator coil, through the heater core, resulting in Warm/Hot air on the Left.
